Does this make me a geek, or self-important, or is it just what I’m supposed to be doing now?

I’m entering the blogging world.  There’s a part of me that’s wanted to do this for a while now, but I wasn’t sure if I had enough to contribute.  While I’m still not sure how much I have to contribute, I’ll throw my hat into the ring anyways.  What’s the worst that can happen?  I mean, it’s not like I can get thrown out of the internet for saying something stupid.  At worst, I guess I could lead someone astray by convicingly stating heresy as though it is truth.  I guess that’s not too bad.
